3. Turin Conference Meals and Refreshments
Vegetarian meals and refreshments are provided during the conference, beginning with Friday dinner and ending with Sunday dinner. The total cost for meals and refreshments is $140 (US dollars). Breakfast is generally included with room accommodations.
4. Accommodations for Turin Conference
The Satyana Institute has reserved a hotel and a hostel for the conference accommodations. Please indicate below your accommodation preference.
The Villa Gualino Conference Center and Hotel for the Turin conference, June 26-28. The Villa, situated in the first belt of the Turin hills, inside a huge park, about a hundred metres or so from the river Po and a short distance from the city center. A special conference price of € 30 per person, per night is being offered for accommodations booked through the Satyana Institute. Rooms are all equipped with refrigerators, television sets, direct telephones and modem attachments. Breakfast is included.

The Ostello Torino Hostel is located one ¼ of a mile from the conference site in a beautiful building in a quiet historical area on the outskirts of town. Numerous parks and neighborhood cafes are within walking distance, and frequent bus service provides convenient access to the city. The lovely Ostello Torino recently won an award for being the cleanest hostel in Italy. The rooms are very economical at 15 - 22 Euros per night per person, including breakfast.

Note: All guests must have a membership in Hostelling International (HI), which can be purchased at the Ostello Torino for 15 Euros per person. Alternatively, you can purchase HI membership online in your home country. US citizens can purchase HI membership on-line at www.hiusa.org (membership is free for youth under 18 years of age, $28 per year for adults, and $18 for seniors over 55 years of age).

For those traveling from overseas, we recommend that you plan to arrive in Turin by Thursday June 25 (or earlier) to allow time to recover from jet lag prior to the conference.
If you are registering for the five-day Valchiusella Valley retreat, please plan to extend your stay in Turin until Tuesday morning (June 30), otherwise you will need to find your own transport to Valchiusella Valley. Group transportation from Turin to the Valchiusella Valley will be arranged for Tuesday morning for a nominal fee.

An optional tour of the Damanhur Temples for Humankind--including an introduction to Damanhur, Europe’s largest spiritual intentional community--will be available on Tuesday, June 30th for retreat participants. Others are also welcome, but will be responsible afterwards for their own transportation back to Turin or elsewhere. 5. Post-Conference Women’s Retreat, June 30 - July 4
Conference participants are encouraged to attend the women’s retreat afterward, which will provide a unique forum for women to explore key issues, deepen spiritual practice and further develop insights from the conference.
The cost of the five-day retreat is $395 (US Dollars), which includes lunches and dinners. To register, a deposit of $100 is required with this registration form. Full payment is due by June 1, 2009
Special discount: If you prepay in full through Paypal before May 1, 2009 the cost for the retreat is reduced to $350

Accommodations for post-conference retreat in Valchiusella Valley
Please indicate up to three accommodations preferences below. Satyana Institute staff is collaborating with experienced volunteers in the Valchiusella Valley to find the most suitable accommodations. Every effort will be made to fulfill your preferences.
Please note that Valchiusella is a rural, unpopulated alpine valley. The majority of rooms available in the valley consist of doubles or triples, with a shared bathroom down the hallway. These rooms are simple and clean, and are typical accommodations for this area. The rooms are reasonably priced at 20 to 25 Euros per person per night, depending on amenities. Camping is also available for 8 - 10 Euros per night (you must bring your own tent and gear). Beyond this, there are also single and double rooms with private bath available in area hotels, which are 10 minutes or more drive from the retreat site. These rooms are priced around 50 Euros and higher, and for these rooms, it is advisable to have your own automobile transport.

6. Your Agreement with Satyana Institute
In the event of my need to cancel my reservation for the Turin conference on or before May 1st, 2009, I understand that 50% of my deposit is nonrefundable. For conference cancellations after May 1st, 2009, I understand that my deposit is forfeited.
In the event of my need to cancel my reservation for the Valchiusella women’s retreat on or before May 1st, 2009, I understand that 50% of my deposit is nonrefundable. For those who opted for the prepay discount, the refund will be $300. For cancellations after May 1st, 2009, deposits are forfeited, and those who prepaid will be refunded by $250 until June 1. Thereafter no refunds are available.

7. Getting to Turin and the Valchiusella Valley:
By air:
Fly into either Turin airport or Milan Malpensa airport. From Milan Malpensa, take the airport bus to the Milan Central Station and catch a train to Turin (see below). There is also limited bus service twice a day from Milan Malpensa direct to Turin.
By train:
Trains run every hour from Milan Central Station to Turin Porta Nuova station; the journey takes less than two hours. Turin is also linked to other major European cities by high-speed rail.
By Car:
If you plan to rent a car, we advise you to arrange the car rental from home BEFORE arriving in Italy. This generally saves money. Limited parking is available for guests of the Ostello Torino for a nominal fee.
Getting to Valchiusella Valley
For those attending the women’s retreat in Valchiusella Valley, group transportation from Turin will be arranged on Tuesday morning, June 30 for a nominal fee. You may wish to extend your room in Turin for Monday night.
After the retreat, transfer to the local train station in Ivrea or the Turin or Milan airports will be arranged with prior notice. Alternatively, you may rent a car, which offers the greatest flexibility and convenience. Valchiusella is located 45 minutes drive from the Turin airport, and an hour and a half from Milan Malpensa airport.
8. Informal Program for Men and Family Members
The conference and post-conference retreat are open to women only. An informal program for men or other adult family or friends visiting Turin and the Valchiusella Valley will be available for a nominal fee upon request. Please check the box here if you are interested:

9. Determine Your Payment:
Conference (June 26-28)
A deposit of $140 (USD) per person is required. This deposit must be paid in full with your your completed registration form. The deposit
holds your space in the conference. On the first day of the conference at the registration desk, this deposit will be applied in full toward your meal tickets for the
conference. (Note: unused meal tickets are non-refundable).
Women’s Retreat (June 30-July 4)
Deposit for the five-day retreat is $100 (USD). Cost of retreat, including tuition and lunches and dinners for five days is $395. Deposit of $100 is required with your registration.
Special discount if paid in full. Reduced cost of $350 for the retreat - a $45
discount - if paid in full by May 1st, 2009.
